Welcome! This is where the team behind Cabuler writes about phonics, sound-spelling, and how kids (and adult learners) crack the code of English.

Why a blog?

English spelling looks chaotic, but underneath it there's a system: every word is a map from sounds to spellings. Once a learner can hear the sounds in a word and knows which letter chunks (graphemes) can spell each sound, reading and spelling stop being memorization and start being decoding.

We'll use this space to share:
